  • Usage Information: Log data, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and your interactions with the Platform's features.
  • Device Information: Information about the device you use to access the Platform, such as its operating system and hardware model.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: Data collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyze Platform usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features.
  • To verify user identities and professional credentials. Provider credentials and identity verification documents are used solely for the purpose of vetting and are stored in an encrypted environment. Access is restricted to authorized Vetruly personnel performing verification.
  • To process payments and facilitate transactions between users.
  • To facilitate communications between Clients and Providers. We may store communications that occur on the Platform to provide customer support, ensure service quality, and assist in resolving potential disputes.
  • To personalize user experiences, such as by showing relevant Providers or service requests.
  • To send you service-related communications, updates, and customer support responses.
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraudulent or prohibited activities.
  • To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Between Users: To facilitate a connection, Clients will see a Provider's name, professional credentials, areas of specialty, and platform reviews. Providers will see the Client's name, the pet's information, and the nature of the service requested.
  • With Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors that assist us with critical functions such as payment processing, identity verification, data analysis, cloud hosting, and customer support. These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • For Legal and Compliance Purposes: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vetruly, our users, or others.
  • In Case of Business Transfers: If Vetruly undergoes a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other sale of all or a portion of its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect user information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. This includes storing sensitive data, such as provider credentials, in an encrypted state. However, no method of data transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain user information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. We retain user data as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Professional credentialing information may be retained for the duration of a Provider's active account and for a period thereafter as required for our legal and compliance purposes.

We are committed to providing you with control over your personal information.

  • Account Information: You can review and update your personal information at any time by accessing your account settings.
  • Marketing Communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link provided in those emails. You may still receive essential service-related communications.
  • Cookies: You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others, have specific rights regarding their personal data. Subject to certain limitations, these rights include:
